A Graceful Silver Table in the Chippendale Manner Dimensions: H: 29.5 in / 75 cm W: 34 in / 87 cm D: 22.5 in / 57 cm Constructed in mahogany, rising from block feet to triple cluster column legs, with rose masks above, and having a complex sinuous swept fretwork pierced stretcher centred about a turned finial: the gallery having a conforming 'chinese' fretwork design. England, Circa 1880 In his seminal work, 'The Age of Mahogany', Percy McQuoid illustrates a similar 'side table' with very similar fretwork to our table, which he gives the nomenclature 'Chinese Gothick'.Haynes Fine Art reserve the right to change details at any time.
