Austrian 1839 – 1910 Marco Grubacs studied painting and drawing from an early age and his keen attention to draftsmanship insured his success as a painter of architectural views. He specialised in Venetian scenes and in doing so he continued the great tradition of the fine 17th and 18th Century artists such as Canaletto and Guardi.
