Frederick Stead

Frederick Stead was born in Shipley in Yorkshire. He studied art at the RCA where he won gold and silver medals and also a travelling scholarship. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1892 and taught at Bradford School of Art. Stead was a member of the Yorkshire Society of Artists. His work is represented in Caldedale Metropolitan Borough Council and Bradford Museums and Galleries
