Elouise Harriet Stannard

Eloise Harriet Stannard was a still life painter. Born in Norwich, she was the eldest daughter of Alfred Stannard the landscape and marine painter and sister of Alfred George Stannard.

Eloise exhibited pictures of fruit and flowers at the Royal Academy between 1856 and 1893. She also exhibited at Suffolk Street, the British Institution and various other venues.

Three of her works are in the Norwich Museum. Eloise was a member of the Society of Lady Artists and her pictures of fruit are often compared to that of George Lance, who was an admirer of her work. She is sometimes confused with Emily Stannard.
