German 1846 - 1921 Carl Wilhelm Anton Seiler was a genre painter, born in Wiesbaden on 3 August 1846. He studied initially at the Berlin Academy and later in Munich where he was a pupil of Raupp. Seiler was an officer at the Berlin Academy and became a member of the Academy in 1895.
He exhibited in Paris in 1903 for which he received an honourable mention. Paintings by the artist can be seen the Dresden Museum, Bautzen Museum, Leipzeg Museum, Munich Museum, etc.
