Carlton Alfred Smith
British 1853 - 1946Smith created a quality of light synonymous with strong sunshine. The quality of Smith’s fine images and his desirable selection of subjects have made him extremely popular with both collectors and publishers worldwide.
Smith exhibited mostly at Suffolk Street (one hundred and fifty-eight works), but also at The New Watercolour Society and the Royal Academy from 1879, as well as in the provinces.
