He was schooled at the Academy des Beaux Arts in Florence and exhibited his works in Turin and Florence circa 1884.
A regular exhibitor at the major European exhibitions, Rinaldi was beloved during his lifetime for his sentimental and playful depictions of children. Groups of happy boys and girls playing youthful games in charming rural landscapes were favoured compositions of the artist often in a family setting.
Rinaldi’s works provided a delightful escapism from everyday life by mirroring the playfulness and wonder of childhood.
