Henry Jutsum
British 1816 - 1869In 1839 he became a pupil of James Stark. Jutsum exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1836 and1869 and also at the British Institution, Suffolk Street and the New Watercolour Society.
For sometime the artist devoted himself to watercolour painting, but ultimately he preferred painting in oil. Jutsum resigned his membership of the New Watercolour Society in 1848, after which time he painted mainly in oil.
